The heart of Christmas decor is of course the Christmas Tree. It's the centrepiece of all Christmas decor, it's importance can't be understated - and a truly magical moment for little ones on Christmas morning. However, it's crucial not to limit your decorations to the tree alone.
Considerations Beyond the Christmas Tree
While the Christmas tree holds a special place in our hearts and homes, extending your decorations to the rest of your home can make the festive spirit even more pervasive. Introduce festive wall stickers into your decor. They are a simple and effective way to spread Christmas cheer to every nook and cranny of your house, from the living room and the kitchen to the bedrooms and even the bathrooms. We offer a wide range of these festive wall stickers, offering something for every taste and style.
Experimenting with Festive Colours
Next, let's talk about colours. Christmas is a time of vibrant hues and merry brightness. Traditional Christmas colours like red and green are always a good choice. However, don't be afraid to play around with other colours. Metallic tones such as gold and silver can add a touch of glamour and sophistication to your decor. Mixing these with the traditional Christmas colours can create a festive yet chic aesthetic. Incorporate these colours in all aspects of your decor - from your table settings and mantelpiece decorations to your Christmas tree ornaments. We have a wide variety of festive wall stickers and window stickers which will add festive pops of colour through the whole of your home.
Creating a Cosy Atmosphere.
A cosy fire is a quintessential part of a traditional Christmas setting. If your home doesn't have a fireplace, don't fret! You can recreate the same cosy atmosphere with a little help from technology. There are numerous videos of crackling fires available on platforms like YouTube. Just play one on your TV, get a warm blanket, and a cup of hot chocolate, and you've created a cosy Christmas scene right in your living room.
Setting the Scene for the Holiday Season
When it comes to Christmas decorations, the devil lies in the details. Small touches can significantly enhance the festive atmosphere. Consider using candles to create a warm, inviting ambience. Choosing candles with holiday-themed scents like pine, cinnamon, or peppermint can add another layer to your Christmas decor.
Nothing says Christmas like the sweet aroma of freshly baked cookies. Baking is another delightful way to set the scene for the holiday season. Whether you're baking gingerbread men, sugar cookies, or mince pies, the delicious smell wafting through your home will make the atmosphere feel even more Christmassy.
Decorating for Christmas involves a lot more than just putting up a tree. By considering your entire home, playing with festive colours, creating a cosy atmosphere, and setting the scene with thoughtful details, you can transform your home into a truly magical Christmas wonderland. So go forth and decorate, creating a space that resonates with the warmth, joy, and magic of the season. So, let's see how you can quickly and easily recreate the top 5 interior trends, in your home.
This year it's all about having fun with your decor, and creating a welcoming, feel-good space. From colour pops to biophilia and holiday-home vibes, see how to create the hottest interior trends in your home. You'll see that these interior trends actually overlap in places, so you can even get two trends in one!
Vacations have been difficult or impossible for the past few years, so it's no wonder we're looking to a holiday vibe in our homes! This interior trend is so flexible: think crisp blue and white schemes for a nod to the nautical seaside theme. You could even introduce a classic sailboat motif, using our easy to apply window film.
Or how about a tropical look with leaves for a more exotic look and feel? Pair this look with real houseplants for a scheme that will look great, and make you feel happier too. This also covers trend number 5!
Gold in the bathroom? Silver in the utility room? How about a flash of copper on the inside of a wardrobe? Why not? Adding a touch of luxury in unexpected places is one of the hottest interior trends right now, and you don't have to have the Midas touch to achieve it!
Our metallic stickers make it quick and easy to add lavish touches, without investing in real gold or silver. Because why shouldn't you see something that makes you smile when you're doing the washing?
We are totally behind the interior trend for bright, cheerful colours. Everyone needs a space that uplifts us. Vibrant colours are an easy way to inject a pop of happiness to any room! We've already showed you how to decorate with 2022's colours of the year, but as a reminder, it's all about blue! If you want to go a step further, consider mixing blue with pops of a complimentary colour. Think blue colour blocks, with yellow cushions or small accessories like vases.
Or why not overlap contrasting colour pops with a few of our large colour block wall stickers? Or choose our set of coloured arch stickers.
The hashtag #featurewall has over 400,000 hits, and large wall stickers are a great way to make the most of the trend! A single bold feature wall or bold colour pop can transform your room with a minimum of effort.
All things green is our 4th must-try interior trends and we love this one as anything goes! From dark green to soft sage, a quick scroll of your Insta feed lets you know we're all going green! Dark green is generally a relaxing, cocooning colour. You can see this on the Forest Green and Grass Green in our shade chart below.
Lime Green can have the opposite effect, adding energy thanks to its yellow undertones. Our range of greens with blue undertones give rooms a soothing feel, as well as incorporating the blue tones of the colours of the year.
So, whatever feeling you want to evoke in your home decor, green is your go to. Just choose the shade to create the feel you are after, and remember most of our stickers are available in your choice of colour.
The last of our interior trends is probably our favourite as it's so pretty and restful. If you search the hashtag #biophilic on Instagram, your feed will be flooded with gorgeous greenery. The idea is to connect with nature indoors, giving your rooms and outside/in feeling.
This decor trend works well with the green trend, as layering greenery on to green backgrounds gives an immersive feel. You can do this with a base layer of green, with leaf or flower stickers layered over it. Don't forget to add real plants or even herbs to truly embrace the biophilic aesthetic. The beauty of this interior trend is that it works on any room. From bedrooms to living rooms, bathrooms to kitchens: go wild!
So there you have it. The top interior trends you can create with stickers in your home, without the mess and fuss of paintbrushes and dust sheets! Please Pin this for later.

As a mum to two teenagers, I've picked up a few decor tricks over the years. My advice is to keep it simple, get them them to help! Picking up a paint brush or roller may not be every teenager's dream. It's time consuming, requires commitment and practice and, let's face it, is pretty tedious. But decorating with wall stickers? Hello fun and instant room transformation!
If you need some quick and easy teen bedroom decor ideas, here are my favourite teenage bedroom decor themes. We love these teen bedroom decor ideas as they will keep your teenager's bedroom looking stylish for years. These teenage bedroom themes are also easy to do, even if they want to do it by themselves.
Our easy-to-use wall stickers are a great way to give your teenager a way to get creative. They can put their own stamp on their room, without committing to a total design overhaul. If they do fancy a change in a few years, it's easy to peel off the stickers and add some new ones! We think pre-teens will love these ideas too, if you can clear a path though the toys!
Colour blocking is a hot trend now, but it won't go out of fashion as it's easy, yet effective. Adding a colour block, in a bold or subtle shade gives an instant injection of colour that grounds the bedroom. Your teen can add more details in the same shade, or a contrasting colour. Teenage bedrooms often act as a study too, so colour blocks are an easy way to define different areas. Choose one shade above their desk, and a complimentary colour over their bed, for example.
Here we have an oversized calming blue circle above a desk, to help them concentrate. We recommend that an adult applies our colour block stickers as they are a little more challenging to apply.
SHOP COLOUR BLOCK WALL STICKERS
Wall stickers make it so easy for your teens to go geo! We have lots of small geometric stickers to scatter across the wall or ceiling. They can also create a defined area by placing them in a more uniform way.
Our big geometric heart sticker is also a popular choice for teenage bedrooms, and you can choose from so many colours.
Copper, gold, and silver tones are always popular choices for teenage bedrooms. Get your teen to pick their favourite metallic finish and help them choose where to put their metallic shapes. Adding a lamp, picture frames or a mirror in the same metal shade will pull this look together effortlessly. These triangle, sprinkle and heart wall stickers are all shown in gold here, but are available in copper and silver too.
Did you know? We can make many of our wall stickers in metallic finishes. Just choose the shapes you want and select a metallic colour of your choice from the drop-down menu.
If you place our Doodle Dot stickers close together you can create a trendy Dalmatian effect too, when you choose them in black.
Don't forget all our stickers can be used on furniture too. This makes them ideal for continuing the teen bedroom decor theme without splashing out on new furniture.
I hope you've been inspired by our teen bedroom decor ideas - please Pin this for later!

Plants give a great sense of wellbeing to any space, and lots of them even help purify the air, according to NASA! Spider Plants and Peace Lilies are student classics as they are so forgiving of being neglected, or try Snake Plants, also known as Mother In Law's Tongue for something a bit more structural.
If you think you'll probably kill your plant babies, you could always cheat and channel the biophilic design trend with un-killable plant wall stickers!

]]>Pantone's Colour of the Year 2022 is Very Peri, a mid-tone blue with a violet undertone. Pantone say:
"Very Peri displays a spritely, joyous attitude and dynamic presence that encourages courageous creativity and imaginative expression."
We think it makes a welcome change from last year's rather somber Ultimate Grey! It's high time we have a little fun with our interiors and inject pops of blue.
Meanwhile over at Dulux, they have also gone down the blue route, choosing Bright Skies™ to be the Dulux Colour of the Year. Dulux say:
"Bright SkiesTM is a light, airy and optimistic blue that’s good for the soul. It promises to open up and revitalise your home."
Again, opening up and revitalising are both things we can get on board with! but how can you use blue in your home decor, without it seeming cold or stark?
If you're worried about getting it wrong, and giving a cold feeling to your room, using blue stickers is an easy option. Our wall stickers give you the chance to build a look until you're comfortable with the level of colour, and give an instant look without the hard work of painting.
Of course blue stickers give you so many more options than painting, whether you add a big colour block, or a smaller scattering of blue. And the best thing? They peel off easily if you want a new look!
Most of our wall stickers are available in a range of blues, to suit your scheme, including Swimming Pool, which is our more vibrant version of Bright SkiesTM and Blue, which is closest to Very Peri. But why stop there? Our navy blue stickers pair well with lighter or more vibrant shades of blue.
We also love Limpet Shell, which adds a touch of green to the blue, to make a beautifully serene scheme.
You can add a pop of blue in your home by using any of our easy to apply wall stickers in your choice of blue vinyl.
Adding a big pop of blue in an otherwise neutral room, or breaking the blue up using a pattern are easy ways to make the blue trend work for you.
If you're looking for a nod to the blue decor trend, our scatter shapes are the best. Adding an arc of pale blue stars to a nursery, like Sarah from @houseundertheoak has done couldn't be easier.
We also love what Helen from @no.6_on_the_close has done to inject a fun touch of navy blue in the shape of lightening bolts.
How will you use blue stickers in your home decor? Share your style by tagging your pictures with #nutmegwallart on Instagram @nutmegwallart as we'd love to feature you on our feed!
Remember if you're not keen on the blue trend, all of our stickers are available in lots of other colours.

Adding a bold (or subtle) splash of colour with colour blocking is a great way to update a room. It's amazing the difference a pop of colour on a single wall can make! Choose from arches and circles in a variety of size - why not layer a few to create a truly unique look?
Of course, our colour block wall stickers are all available in 22 fabulous shades. Your only challenge is choosing your favourite!
For a really bold and beautiful look, you can't beat a wall mural. But if you're not blessed with artist level brush skills, don't worry, we have a really quick and easy solution. Our beautiful stick on wall murals are the easiest way to add a breathtaking art display - no brushes needed!
We have a gorgeous range of designs, perfect for any room, in lots of different sizes.

IKEA® furniture: it's a staple in most homes, right? It's hard to beat the price and functionality of flat pack furniture, but it can be a little bland. But what if you could revamp your tired Ikea furniture quickly and easily? Read on to see how Kel Harmer from Oh So Kel easily revamped a tired chest of MALM™ IKEA® drawers using Nutmeg Navy Circle Furniture Stickers.
Kel started off with a plain set of ordinary white MALM™ IKEA® drawers, and transformed them into a beautiful focal point using our easy peel and stick furniture stickers.
Doesn't Kel's 'new' chest of drawers look gorgeous?
It's important to give your drawer fronts a quick clean to get rid of any dust and dirt so the stickers can adhere properly. Use a little sugar soap, or a squirt of diluted washing up liquid and a soft cloth. Allow to dry thoroughly.
Step 2: Cover Top Drawer with a Furniture Sticker
Pull out the top drawer slightly, or remove altogether. Carefully peel the sticker from the backing paper, and smooth over the drawer front, making sure it's positioned straight and centred. Working from the middle outwards, smooth out with a soft cloth to make sure there are no air bubbles.
Step 3: Repeat for All Drawers
Repeat Step 2 for each drawer. Pop the drawers back, stand back and admire your revamped furniture.
Our removable stickers are cut to the perfect size for the drawer fronts, so all you have to do is peel them off the backing paper, and stick them on. It couldn't be easier! Choose from 3 drawer, 4 drawer, 6 drawer and 2 drawer bedside cabinet options. That means you can revamp your whole bedroom collection, giving your room real wow factor.
As long as your drawers are flat (with no fancy carving) Nutmeg furniture stickers will work for you. Just get in touch with your dimensions and we can create you a set of furniture stickers that will fit your drawers perfectly.
We also have other designs of our popular furniture stickers available.

To celebrate Independent Retailer Month, we're sharing our top ten easy ways to make a big impact by shopping small.
Shopping independent is an easy, fulfilling way to support 'real' people instead of the multimillionaires and chains. When you shop independent, the money you spend is much more likely to stay in the local economy, where it will benefit your local area.
Supporting small independent businesses will help make sure they not only survive, but thrive. And after the past 18 months, small businesses need your support more than ever.
During lockdown, a lot of people realised just how much we need our local shops and independent businesses. Whether it was deliveries from a local greengrocer, or ordering paint from a local DIY shop, our independent businesses were invaluable. And they still are!
We think it's so important not to abandon them now that things are on their way back to 'normal'. They were here for us, so we think we need to be there for them too!
Holly Tucker, small business champion and founder of Not On The High Street says that if every adult in the UK spent just £1 a day with small businesses, it would add £19 billion to the UK economy. And £12 billion of that will stay in local economies! Your money makes sure small businesses thrive. Then they can continue to be a key part of your community, bringing a much-needed burst of creativity to your high street!
It also makes the world of difference to us little guys. By shopping small and indie you are doing so much more than you know. Because behind every indie business, there's a story. All the corner shops, gift shops, hardware shops, restaurants, cafes, and hairdressers in our towns have an army of real people, doing great things behind them.
The thing is, shopping independent is not just about 'doing the right thing'. It's also about buying something that gives you joy. When you enjoy a delicious cup of ethically sourced coffee at your local independent coffee shop, doesn't it taste better, knowing you're supporting that small business? And when you pick up a up a beautiful, handcrafted cushion for your home, you'll enjoy it so much more, knowing it's unique and not mass-produced and shipped in from miles away.
If you follow us on Instagram, you may have noticed that we are one of three founders of The Indie Collective, a collective of local artisans, designers and small businesses. Here I am in between screen printer extraordinaire Steph from Flat102 and Carly from Art On My Sleeve, who hand paints the most beautiful bespoke jackets.
We started a temporary pop up in Milton Keynes Shopping Centre. The great news is that it's gone so well, we're staying open until December! You can also shop online here if you aren't near Milton Keynes.
You'll find all sorts of gorgeous gift ideas, homewares, clothing, self-care, and gifts for teachers (great timing hey?) all created with love by unique, local, independent businesses.
You can shop online, or head to our real-life shop in Milton Keynes Shopping Centre at 59 Midsummer Blvd, Central, Milton Keynes MK9 3GB. There are plenty of gorgeous ways to shop independent with us this July and beyond!

Do you have a window that is overlooked by neighbours? Or maybe you live on a street where people can't help peer into your windows. Creating privacy at your windows, without blocking the light is a concern for many homes across the UK. As the evenings get lighter, we don't always want to shut the curtains or blinds, but that can leave a privacy issue. So what's the best solution to creating privacy in your windows? You could use net curtains... or you could try stylish frosted window film! Read on to find out why frosted window film is best alternative to net curtains.
Net curtains or voiles are one way to stop people looking in at your window. But what if you could easily create the same level of privacy, without curtains? Nutmeg creates modern, sleek window film that makes your windows look like they've been frosted. You can use Nutmeg's window film in any room - even steamy rooms like the bathroom. Our window film can even be used outside!
Here, our customer Kirsty used Birds on a Wire Frosted Window Film to create privacy.
Frosted window film is a special type of long-lasting vinyl sticker. It's specially designed to provide privacy to windows, without blocking out the light. This makes window film the perfect alternative to net curtains. They easily add privacy to any window, without needing a curtain track or wires. And the best part? You don't need any special tools to apply them.
Nutmeg's frosted window film gives the look of etched or sandblasted glass, and can be used on any window in your home - even a bathroom. Window film is the easy way to get two way privacy, without sacrificing natural light. Window film also looks sleeker and in our opinion, more stylish than net curtains. This makes it the ideal choice for modern homes, as well as more traditional decor. As well as increasing privacy, frosted window film also helps make your home more secure, shielding the contents of your house from view.
You don't have to cover the whole window. Sometimes, just the lower portion is enough, like this window with our Clouds Frosted Window Film sticker.
We want to give you as many options as we can when it comes to your privacy window film.
When you browse our window films, you'll notice that some have cut outs, as a pattern, for example in our Birds on a Wire frosted window film, shown above. These decorative areas are see-through, so bear that in mind if you want complete privacy.
Others have a design printed onto the film for complete coverage, like this Large Tropical Leaves Window Film sticker.
You can choose whether you can just see this design on the side you see from inside your room, or from outside as well. Single sided will show through faintly from the outside, and for double sided designs, you'll see the pattern equally well on both sides of the window.
Our window film comes in many different sizes, so we can cover even the biggest or smallest of windows. Just pick the closest size to the window pane size, and fill in the exact dimensions in the box when your order. We'll make sure your window film is precision cut to the exact dimensions you need.
It's easy to apply Nutmeg frosted window film - it works in a very similar way as our wall stickers. Of course you'll receive full instructions with your order. We recommend reading them carefully before you begin. Here is a short and sweet version to give you an idea of how it all works:
You'll need good quality window cleaner we recommend Mr Muscle to clean the window first. You'll also need a spray bottle of very diluted washing up liquid.
Remove the backing paper, spray lightly and apply, working from the middle outwards. Smooth as you go with a squeegee to ensure a bubble-free finish. Leave for a few hours before removing the backing paper and after 24 hours it will be fully adhered.
And don't worry, you can move the window film around a little to get the perfect position before it dries.
It's easy to remove your frosted window film if you ever want a change. Just use tweezers to carefully lift a corner, and pull gently until you have enough to get a good grip. Them pull and it will peel off. You will need to wipe your windows with a window cleaner to remove any residue.
Frosted window film could be a great way to give your window a cost effective revamp if you have patterned glass. Buying frosted window film is a fraction of the cost and disruption of replacing the glass. To cover it completely, you may wish to order two sets of film, and cover both sides.
Some of our designs are more suitable than others for covering patterned windows. Please pop us a message to discuss your project and we'd be really happy to advise you.
Please Pin this blog post for later and share the knowledge.

The past few years have meant our homes are more important than ever, but we might be a bit tired of them. Or possibly even sick to the back teeth of them? If that's you, you're certainly not alone. As so many of us are spending more than that ever at home, many are moving house to get more space - hello home office! And even more of us are doing DIY and home improvement projects. Even if you can't move, you can improve! But maybe you're not quite ready to embark upon a big renovation costing £££, or construct a garden office using salvaged materials? Fear not, here are some quick and easy ways to fall back in love with your home. And the best part? They won't take a bank loan to compete.
There's no getting around it - clutter and piles of stuff can be a big cause of stress. It can be so daunting to start decluttering, but once you start, it can become mildly addictive! If you're not sure where to start, our advice is to start small and work up. Completing a small task means we're more likely to start the next one, as it gives us a sense of achievement. So how about decluttering that utensil drawer that keeps getting jammed? Then work your way up to tackling bigger projects like a wardrobe or pantry.
If the items you're getting rid of are in good condition, you can donate them to a local charity shop, once they are open. Or sell it on eBay or Facebook selling pages. They do say one persons trash is another person's treasure after all. Scroll eBay and you'll be amazed at what people sell! If you can get a few pounds for your decluttered goods, you can save them up to get something you really want.
Whilst redecorating an entire room can feel like too much of an effort, adding colour can refresh a room far more easily. Adding a bold colour pop or a pastel area is a quick and easy way to add interest to any room.
You can zone a dining table or work desk with a coloured circle or arch. Or how about drawing attention to a favourite piece of furniture with a large circle?
This is a trend we're seeing a lot over on Instagram and Pinterest and it looks kind of daunting. Normally people use lots of masking tape and paint to create this look. But we have a much easier and quicker way to add a colour block. Our stickers, which we used in these images, couldn't be easier to apply. You'll be surprised at how they can transform a room.
Now you have more space (both in your home, and space to think!) you can start to think about ways to get organised. Streamlining your living space saves time and stress, and gives you a calmer home. How about filing paperwork into separate drawers or files? What about giving every member of your family their own space for shoes and lunchboxes. Or labelling up the toys so kids can find their lego and Sylvanian families at a glance?
Our recent blog post gives you plenty of ideas about how to use our stickers to organise your home. Read it here for ideas about how streamline your home with organisation stickers.
Sometimes all we need to fall back in love with our home is a quick furniture move around. Maybe you're spring cleaning anyway? Moving an arm chair to go in front of a window whilst you hoover beneath it could lead to a new perspective on your lounge!
Books are a great way to stamp your personality on a room. If your bookcase is looking a little lacklustre, try reorganising your books by colour. It's a fun way to add unity and harmony to your home. Becky from PinksCharming Eco Lifestyle Blog did this over Lockdown.
She says you need to have a good memory for colours, so you can find your books easily again! Becky varied her Book Shelfie by having some books stacked horizontally to add interest. She also popped in a few ornaments where she had gaps.
We all have those old Ikea purchases - maybe we don't love them anymore but they are so practical. The best thing to do is revamp them! Of course you could spend hours sanding and painting them... But we like a time saving hack here at Nutmeg. So we have some easy to use Ikea Hack stickers that work perfectly on the classic Malm chest of drawers (whichever size you have).
It's a quick and easy transformation you'll love (and available in different designs).
Treating yourself to some new plants or a gorgeous new scented candle adds interest, texture and scent to a room. Even a bunch of supermarket flowers adds a touch of charm, for just a few pounds. If you want to spend a little more, what about new cushion covers? Or you can find second hand frames and paint them the same colour and add family photos.
We hope you've found these quick and easy ways to liven up your home inspiring. We hope you can find a way to fall back in love with your home - why not Pin them for later?

Let's start with one of our most popular sticker sets, our Storage Words Vinyl Stickers. These are so popular, because they are just so versatile. Each set has 10 words, and you can choose whatever words you like. Then choose from four different fonts to suit any taste. These organisation wonder stickers are available in three sizes, 15mm, 20mm or 25mm. This means you can label up small things like baking containers, up to big storage bins. Choose from White, Black, Silver, Gold, Copper, Dark Grey and Light Grey, and add the ten words you'd like when ordering.
There is no limit to the ways you can organise your home with our word stickers.
The most pleasing way to use our word stickers is using them to organise your pantry or baking cupboard. No more wondering if you're using the correct flour! You can buy a matching set of containers (IKEA are the masters at this) or collect and thoroughly clean jam jars to reuse.
On a similar theme, how about using a set of stickers to label up the produce in your fridge?
Our storage word vinyl stickers are waterproof and you can stick them to any non-porous smooth surface.
So now the kitchen is all neat and tidy, let's look at some other easy organisation ideas using our stickers. Do you have a craft room with different supplies in boxes? Try using word stickers and you'll instantly see what's in the boxes: no more searching! This also works brilliantly for kids toys: Lego, Playmobile, Sylvanian Families, games, Aqua Beads, Hama Beads, the list goes on.
Our stickers work perfectly for any storage containers. Think Christmas decorations, spare bed linen, out of season clothes, and even shoes.
We've seen our stickers used to label up containers by the front door: one box for each member of the family. In winter, you can store hats and gloves, in summer, sunglasses and sun hats. If you can train kids (and yourself!) to put their stuff in them the minute they come in, it will save so much time when you leave the house again.
If you are undecided about what to store in your containers, our Chalkboard Labels Stickers are the answer. These peel and stick black labels act like a blackboard, so you can write on them, and wipe off again if you change your mind. You can stick them to any smooth surface and they can even go outside.
We love organising our desks with chalkboard stickers. Just stick them to clean jam jars for simple storage for pens, scissors, pencils... whatever you like.
Choose from six different shapes, and two sizes - here we've used the large oval shaped blackboard stickers to organise toys in a playroom.
And finally, here we have stuck them to our herb pots, to make sure we know what we're cooking with.
Now you have lots of ideas about how to organise your home to save you time and stress, why not Pin them for later?
]]>Are you back to homeschooling? Judging by my social media feeds, a lot of parents are really finding it tough this time around. My daughters are not school age anymore (thank goodness!) so we haven't had to set up a temporary home school. But I remember it being challenging to get my daughters to do their homework, never mind a whole day (or week, or month) of online distance learning.
So what can we do to help? Our homeschool posters are an easy and engaging way to help make distance learning more fun. Read on to see how you can use these A3 poster-size reusable stickers in your child's bedroom, playroom or above your dining table. These stick on and peel off homeschool posters work no matter how small your child's homeschooling space. You can even reposition them for ultimate flexibility!
Let's start with looking at the different types of temporary homeschool posters we have created for you.
Naturally, being from Nutmeg, our homeschool posters are a form of sticker. But the beauty of these particular poster stickers is that they are reusable. This means that you can peel them off, roll them up and store them. Or you can move them to a different location once homeschooling is over. Either way, your paintwork will stay looking good as new.
And of course we have designed them to be beautiful and engaging, without being garish. So, if your temporary homeschool is in your dining room or lounge, they won't jar with your decor. And your homeschool crew will love them too.
TIP: If your home school area is in a main room of your house, you might want to remove school stuff in the evenings. Try sticking our homeschool posters to a piece of foam board (find some here) so you can pop them behind the sofa in the evenings. That also means you can move them to different rooms when your kids need a change of scenery - or even outside when the weather picks up!
If you want to help your little homeschoolers with their A, B, Cs, our Alphabet Homeschool poster is just the thing. It has both upper and lower letters to make it easy to practice phonics.
Next we have something for your mini mathematicians. Your little homeschoolers will love the Shapes Homeschool Poster, with its colourful shapes laid out in an engaging way.
Our Multiplication Square Homeschool Poster makes learning times tables easier and more fun! It's the perfect partner to our Times Tables Homeschool Poster which helps kids learn up to their twelve times tables. It also helps them learn how to spell their numbers up to 12.
Our Fractions Homeschool Poster is the perfect addition to any homeschooling space. It adds a cheerful splash of colour and an at-a-glance way to check your fractions. One of our lovely customers Lucy took these photos of her daughter, who's enjoying learning with our maths homeschool poster stickers.
Home school stargazers will enjoy our Planets & Solar System Homeschool Poster.
Why not choose your favourite three homeschool wall stickers to save £6? Or buy five and save £12. (That's also five for the price of four or buy four, get one free for those of you who are testing their own maths skills!)
And now on to the more decorative and inspirational homeschooling decor ideas. Our Personalised Homeschool Posters are proving popular. Just let us know what name or names to add when you when you place your order.
Our Believe You Can Homeschool Poster is a great way to remind them that they can do whatever tasks their virtual learning throws at them!
If you'd like some more ideas for home schooling decor, head to this article from from House Beautiful. It features our very own Doodle Dot Stickers, which you can find here in a multitude of colours.

]]>Discover six different ways to decorate with shape wall stickers
Shape wall stickers are one of our bestselling categories. The reason why? They're so easy to apply and versatile! You can create so many different patterns and designs to create the unique feature wall of your dreams.
In this post, you'll find six different ways to decorate with the shape wall sticker of your choice. So if you're looking for a bit of inspiration and the top how-to tips on where to start. Then read on to find out how to apply the design that appeals to you.
Begin by clustering your wall stickers from a corner start point. Place stickers on a cross ways diagonal from the last one you placed, ensuring there is even distance. You can then start to add more space between them as you work the design down the wall.
It best to use simple shapes for this type of design - circles, stars, sprinkles, triangles, crosses or brush strokes all work well. It doesn't matter which way up these shapes are placed.
This waterfall design looks as if the stickers are cascading down the wall and makes for such a pretty and striking feature!
As you would do with the corner cluster, start by adding more stickers to the top of the wall. Place each sticker at a slant next to the last one you placed. As you move down the wall continue to add more space between the stickers and end with much bigger gaps at the bottom.
This design works great when you have furniture below as it allows the focal point to be at the top of the wall where there isn't anything obscuring it.
Continuing with the cluster theme you can also place your stickers around a focal point.
This could be an object you have on the wall such as a print, piece of art or unique decoration.
Us the same principles of placing the stickers crosswise from each other to get a good distance and the feel of the random cluster in your design.
Like I mentioned it's best to use simple shapes that will look great whichever way these stickers are placed for all the cluster designs. But hearts, leaves and terrazzo would also work well for this design of a feature around an object.
Create a seemingly random half-drop pattern by following a few easy rules. Place your first sticker and then place an additional four stickers at 45-degree angles from the middle of the first one. As you work across the wall you will be able to line up the middle, top and bottom stickers from the first design you created.
You could also mix up the size of your stickers to play with this design further and add more visual interest.
A simple but striking pattern is using a square design. To easily get the correct space between each sticker you can make a simple template. Cut a piece of paper to the distance you want between each sticker and use this to space your stickers out by placing them on the corner of the square template.
The square and random pattern will work well with any of the shape stickers as long as you keep them all facing the same way.
You can also have fun and mix different packs of shape stickers together! If you're planning on doing this then keep the shapes simple to ensure they work together.
Stars and dots work really well together. But you could also take two designs of stars such as the regular and starburst stars and mix these up.
We hope this has left you inspired and raring to go and create your preferred design! Please do share with us what you create by tagging your pictures with #nutmegwallart on Instagram @nutmegwallart as we'd love to feature you in our Instagram Lookbook!
The Pantone colour of the year for 2020 was announced at the end of 2019 and it's Classic Blue!
We don't think Pantone could have predicted what would have happened with Covid-19 and most of the world being in some kind of lockdown. But here's what Pantone said about the colour when it was released:
"Instilling calm, confidence, and connection, this enduring blue hue highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era." - Pantone
Classic blue by definition is very classic and safe. But it also evokes simplicity, calmness and reminds us of the sky at dusk. And before all the changes happened, it felt like we needed this colour as a stable and dependable outlook for the new decade.
Which is why we're embracing it here at Nutmeg Studio. Classic blue is a great neutral colour that will pair so well with your current style.
You can add a pop of this colour in your home by using any of our easy to apply wall stickers in our navy blue vinyl.
Here's a curated selection of some of our favourite stickers you can explore.

As a big thank you ahead of Christmas here’s £10 off your next order when you spend £50 or more with us.
With love & thanks
Adele xx
*£10 off discount code is valid only on wall stickers and not stencils.
